HEARTHDAY
A little help

Make yourself
at home.

Simple answers for a gentler home-care routine.

How does a reset work?

Choose 5, 15, or 30 minutes on Today. Hearthday selects ready tasks that fit, starting with older due dates. Tasks that need longer remain in your task list. Tap each task when you finish it. The timer is a guide and never marks tasks done automatically.

What happens if I miss a day?

Nothing is lost. Ready tasks wait patiently. When you finish one, the next date is calculated from that day. There are no broken streaks and no duplicate overdue tasks.

How do I change a room or task?

Open Rooms, choose a room, and use the options button to edit it. Open a task and tap Edit to change its name, room, duration, repeat interval, next date, or notes. Use the task library to add optional starting tasks.

I marked something done accidentally.

Tap Undo in the completion message, the task's history, or Rhythm. Undo is available for the task's most recent completion until its next scheduled date has changed.

Does the reset timer keep running when the app closes?

Yes. Hearthday remembers the active reset and uses elapsed time when you return. Paused time is preserved. There is no alarm when time runs out; you can continue or finish for now.

How do I turn reminders on or off?

Open Settings in Hearthday and switch the daily reminder on or off. You can choose its time. If iOS notifications are disabled, use the link to iPhone Settings to allow them. Reminders are optional and run locally.

How do I back up my home or move to a new iPhone?

Open Settings and choose Export a backup. Save the Hearthday file to Files, including iCloud Drive if you use it. On the other iPhone, choose Restore a backup. Restoring replaces the current local home, ends any active reset, and turns daily reminders off so you can set them again. Export the current home first if you need to keep it.

What if my saved home cannot be opened?

Hearthday preserves the unreadable save and shows a recovery screen. Try again, recover the previous save if available, or choose an exported backup. Avoid removing the app until you have recovered or backed up your data.

How do I delete my data?

Settings includes Erase this home, with a confirmation before removing rooms, tasks, notes, history, and the active reset. Exported files and Apple's device backups are separate and can be removed through Files or your device backup settings.
